Started very beautifully and then quickly collapsed into some disjointed fantasy movie! How a kid can possess so much power and know how to use it to destroy a witch that's been around long before she was born only baffles me. That's what I love about the X-Men! No matter how powerful you are, it takes time for you to fully develop your potential and that comes with age and time. This movie missed it on so many levels! I didn't understand what was the use of the witch's followers? They had no powers except for that one pusher, and they died so stupidly. Matter of fact, they all died stupidly without much thought. And what's the meaning of the title Doctor Sleep? It had nothing to do with the movie or the character except for that one time he help someone die peacefully. Definitely a child's movie! And it was way too long and boring.

I've seen some of Stephen King's movie but this was the first time that a movie made me feel like I was reliving what I read. And it made me so happy honestly. This was like what I was imagining back then when I was reading his books. The telepathy and stuff that fascinated me as a young kid.

Stanley Kubrick was so hard on Shelley Duvall Jack's wife while filming The Shining he caused her to have a mental breakdown that's why you didn't see her in the movies we're so long the poor thing is a complete basket case thank you Kubrick. “And that is the story of how I met your mother” is what Doctor Sleep said years later to Abra. The sequel to The Shining. I can't wait for everyone to be excited by it.

I realize that confusion is one of the things that makes The Shining so great, but I honestly almost laughed out loud at the guy in the bear/dog suit part just because it was so random and bizarre.
